There were probably millions of these units made and sold under several different brands. They are good units but they do have a problem after sitting for 20 years. It will play and record VHS tapes with 4 heads. As VCR's go, this is a newer unit.

They have a mode switch deep down on the circuit board that gets dirty and corroded will cause them to eat tapes. Once its cleaned, it should last another 20 years. Public service announcement. It has the original remote.

Many VCR's have a self cleaning head feature. A very nice Magnavox 4-head VCR DVD combo. This unit has had the mode switch cleaned and it works properly. It has been cleaned inside and out.

If they are not removed, can pack the heads with dried up foam, ruining an otherwise good VCR. They are always removed from the VCR's I offer. Most manuals are available online for free but they basically pretty straight forward without a manual. Free US shipping.

They have a foam wheel that comes in contact with the VCR's heads to keep them clean. If you are looking for a particular make or model, let me know. It takes over an hour to get the switch, clean it and put back together. All functions and components have been checked.

It will play DVDs in Dolby digital stereo. Mine are serviced and ready to get back work.
