Conclusion:The GE 1CVM6060E VHS Camcorder is a good option for those who prefer traditional recording methods and are looking for an affordable and easy-to-use device. However, it is recommended to consider the limitations of VHS technology and to invest in appropriate storage solutions to protect your tapes, such as a temperature-controlled storage unit or a VHS tape box. Additionally, you may want to explore options for digitizing your VHS tapes to ensure that your videos are preserved and can be easily viewed and shared in the digital age.
All this being said, I'm selling as is parts only. With the AC Adapter, I can power it on and plays tapes looks like will record. It needs a new battery to power on for more than minute. I added a battery already had since it goes to this camera.
My first impression with this package is it Hans't really been used. All the cables were in a sealed Sectioned bag. In my experience, these need a good battery to work fully. I put in a Disney VHS tape and it played.
One battery was still in unopened packaging. This is working but cuts off after a minute or two. I don't have any blank VHS tapes to record. None of which seems to hold a charge.
I plugged in the adapter cable which is used to power and transfer video.: This has 3 batteries. It does not provide enough juice to run this like the newer, smaller camcorders will do. I think it has been sitting in a closet for 40 years.
