It has a proprietary Dolby 5.1 output that works with Sanyo active 6 speaker sound system. TESTED IT Weeks. The DWM-3500U also has something that sets it apart from most combo units of the day. I'm creating some much needed space by servicing and selling a stack of these things, starting with this Sanyo.

And yes I did clean both the video heads and laser lens a second time after test-watching all those videos. Video audio heads manually cleaned. Circuit boards checked for leaky capacitors and other tell tale signs of electrical issues. That's a solid machine that will work right out of the box, and it won't need servicing for quite while depending on usage.

Rigorously tested for proper functionality. All surfaces wiped down with electrical contact cleaner. Just use the red and white RCA connectors to take WiFi stereo sound your TV, or audio receiver like with any other VCR DVD player. Old dried up grease removed.

The DWM-3500U doesn't have an onboard amplifier that powers the speakers, but it does supply Dolby 5.1 compatible audio signal to speaker system via 9 pin output. VCR's are not being manufactured anymore, and so I consider it a source of pride restoring these machines as close can get them to the day they left factory. Model: DWM-3500U. AV Cables included.

Its a pretty big machine and it has little heft. However, I did watch several tapes and DVDs using this machine, was able to do so just fine without a remote. Lubricated w/ long lasting grease oil. Detail cleaned, dust blown from circuit boards, meh, and chassis.
