I do not have any D-VHS to test that playback feature. Unit powers on and plays standard VHS with no issue. This could be an easy fix, but due to this being uncertain I am selling as-is and pricing accordingly. One issue with the unit is that when powered off, it will power itself back on, so only way to keep off unplug.
