This machine will auto-detect the regional encoding of VHS cassette inserted and play it automatically. The ad images include pictures of the unit successfully playing NTSC VHS movie Madeleine. As shown in the pictures, there are two adaptors included with this machine: one is a BNC RF-to-RCA adaptor for video output, and other antenna RF male-to-female on PAL tuner output on right side of rear VCR. This wear is only cosmetic and does not affect the functionality of VCR in any way.
