It is sold as because theres certainly some tuning, calibration, and probably recapping that this would benefit from, so I can't say it works good new haven't tested all functions. It does also need composite video connected to get the chrome from when using it in DUB input mode and that has been tested work as shown last two pictures. But the main function that makes it unique and sought after does work - U-Matic DUB to S-Video YC-358. Up for is an.DEN IVT-9PLUS digital time base corrector.

Also of note, this is an NTSC unit so works with tapes used in Japan/USA and will not work PAL signals. Cosmetic condition on the outside is fairly rough and fan could probably use replacing at some point. The main thing that makes this unique over other.DEN model's and most Tbc is it can accept 7-Pin U-Matic DUB.
